Programme
Samagra
A programme dedicated to working with men and boys of the community to bring desired behavioral change, which is a key to stop compulsive exploitation. It is imperative to have a holistic approach involving all major stakeholders in the community, which includes 14 to 50 years old male members. Samvedna's initiative of working with men involves a multifaceted approach entailing a progressive
understanding of gender, rights, law, and violence in the community. This helps map out how aspects of gender, sexuality, violence, masculinity, rights, and agency work within and across different groups of stakeholders in the community. Samvedna program plans to engage and ensure community participation in the Behavioral change and building agency of the person and sense of dignity.
To provide all relevant entitlements and minimize the barriers of delivering government services to the Bedia community due to stigma and caste politics in the village, Samvedna Closely works and communicates with three departments (The Nomadic Semi, Nomadic, and Denotified Welfare Department; The Women and child welfare department; and Education Department) of the Madhya Pradesh government. Samvedna has been instrumental in amending and designing of old and new government schemes to ensure access to social security and welfare programs for uplifting marginal communities.
